Small dogs are good with children?

Answer: no, but it depends.

It seems that most people cannot come to a consensus on this question. People who regularly put rescue dogs from adoptive families do not believe that children are good for dogs small. On the other hand, some people believe that some small dogs are good for children. Both points are valid. Let's discuss each of the views separately.

People who believe that little dogs are not suitable for children see it from the pet's perspective. These people believe that the child easily could harm Small Dog by acting as a toy and not a breathing and live pets. Smaller dogs may attack a child only as much as large dogs can. As regards the safety of the child, the injuries from the smaller dogs likely would be small compared to the possible injuries caused by larger dogs.

Some parents believe that their child is sufficiently mature and "dog friendly" enough to enjoy the company of small DOG. Most of the time, these parents are wrong. Breeders and adoption agencies will often refuse to families with children younger than seven or eight years of age or older. They do not think that it is in the best interests of the PET, which easily can be traumatized by living with young children.

People believe, Small dogs are safe for children because they are little. Many children do not realize their own power and strength as it continues to grow up. Simply are not aware of what a great effort on their part ... to incidental and unintentional kill dog small.

On the other hand, some people agree that certain breeds of dogs, few are safe for children. Such small breeds include: beagles, terriers and collies. These dogs usually retain great around children and do not constitute any kind of threat. However, you should avoid the biggest Small dogs and toy breeds such as Chihuahuas for purposes of domestic animals.

In order to maintain the child and the smaller dogs safe, you must monitor the child and the dog at all times. If not, you can watch them both, place the dog in a secure room or in the container away from the child. With proper training, behavioral and sufficiently exercise Small Dog can learn to adapt and cooperate with the family. In this connection, it is possible for the small DOG is good for children.

Note: parents must warn their children never to put their face on the front of the DOG. Dogs may get spooked and snap-ins that could cause serious injuries, medical as uppercase or lowercase of pet is. Small dogs are not usually good for children in the long term and they are not the smartest choice for the safety of both the DOG and the child. It is best to first test all the options and find out why a really small DOG as opposed to a big dog. You may not get a DOG at all ...?
