Dressage pension breed in the week: Bluetick Coonhound

Bluetick Coonhound Dog Breed Photo - Picture of Bluetick CoonhoundThis week we take a look at the Bluetick Coonhound, a cousin of last week's featured race, Redbone Coonhound. They are remarkably similar, but they are actually two distinctly separate dog breeds. While Redbone is known for its lovely red color, is the Bluetick Coonhound easily recognized for its beautiful pattern and color.

Bluetick Coonhound is also one of the newer AKC breeds, which will make it's Westminster Dog Show debut in a few weeks. The beautiful Bluetick Coonhound is a hardworking hound that makes an excellent hunter and loyal companion. The breed is of course not right for everyone. If you have an active lifestyle and are looking for a medium-sized great dog, there can be a hard-working and excellent companion, possibly Bluetick is just thw one for you. Learn all about Bluetick Coonhound and decide yourself. If you have had experience with this wonderful breed of dog, please share your story: talk about your Bluetick Coonhound!
