Dog breed of the week: English Cocker Spaniel

english cocker spanielThis week's featured breed is none other than the English Cocker Spaniel. As a follow-up to last week's American Cocker Spaniel believed it was only fair for the English Cocker has the focus. Although the two breeds may incorrectly mixed into one, are they really two quite characteristic dog breeds. A quick glance a Cocker novice can believe that they have the same appearance, but it only takes a closer look to tell the difference between the two: the English Cocker has a clearly longer muzzle and a less rounded head than the American Cocker.

Take a moment to learn more about the English Cocker Spaniel. It may be a less common race, but it is certainly not a small dog. Are you an English Cocker Spaniel owner? Tell us more about the breed.

Dog breed of the week: Cocker Spaniel

american cocker spaniel dog breed

American Cocker Spaniel is a relatively popular dog, is also commonly seen as a part of mixed race, hybrid dogs. This spaniel has a hard-working and sometimes reserved disposition. It is said, can breed to be an affectionate companion and lively Playmate. Cocker Spaniel may be best known for his lovely locks. The curly ears are pretty cute, but if you do not take proper care of the ears, you will not look at the insides of them! Cocker's is very prone to serious ear disease, so that the first priority in the care of this breed are routinely verify and clean ears.

There are more than potentially Cocker yucky ears, however. This is an intelligent breed, is extremely motivated. When properly trained, and social, can this race make a loyal and loving family dog. I know that there are a ton of Cocker Spaniel fans out there, so to speak: talk about your Cocker Spaniel!
