Collie bearded, lovingly known as Beardie, is a medium-sized vallhund dog who is perhaps best known for his memorable shaggy hair. Energetic, playful and often goofy, Beardies are easy to get along with and make excellent companions. The breed is also still used for herding today, and is considered a hardworking and independent philosopher.
Beardies are known to be excellent family dogs, sheep for a long time, good with children. They are affectionate dogs who ask for human friendship.
