If you have ever seen a Belgian Malinois, there is a possibility you misunderstood it for another race. Belgian Malinois might at first glance be confused by some of the German shepherd dog. In reality, the two breeds are not related and have plenty of differences. First, the Malinois is a smaller frame and different position from the GSD. In addition, many feel that the Malinois is even more alert and responsive than GSD. Both breeds are commonly seen in police or military work and search and rescue missions, but it seems that the Malinois has become more desirable for these jobs in recent years.
Without a doubt is the Belgian Malinois not real dog for everyone. In fact, it is not the right dog for many. This is a very active and intense dog constant needs for both mental and physical stimulation. If you have time and desire to own a hard-working and top performer like Malinois, it can only be the dog for you. They are very loyal and can make excellent companions, but should be involved in activities such as dog sport to keep them active and fulfilled.
