Lhasa Apso retrieves often mixed in, or be confused with "similar" breeds, like Shih Tzu. Most people know it is a separate race, but many can't identify differences from the top of their heads. The truth is that Lhasa is original, developed by the nature of life in the Himalayan mountains. Shih-Tzu ancestors can be related to Lhasas but Lhasas came first. I have not had the pleasure of knowing many Lhasas, but I admire your independence and whimsy. I also admire the owners who work so hard to educate these headstrong little dogs. Lhasas Smart and you know it!
Lhasa Apso is not the right breed for everyone, especially households with small children, which appears to Lhasas prefer adults. However, I believe that any dog can adapt to only about a situation with correct handling. If you do not have anything against grooming, and you want a relatively small dog with a dynamic personality and moderate level of activity, can be really Lhasa. Before you choose, learn all about the Lhasa Apso, a unique and exciting breed. Love the breed? Tell us about your Lhasa!
