Are you treated each morning of your dog if the parents or spouse you're dropping off at the airport? If you are preparing their long good-bye, with attached hot kisses every time you leave it to work, they intend to run wonders.

Is my owner ever coming home again?

Dogs are very intelligent animals and although I know you're going to Miss them when you go to work or shopping on the day-you should be understand that this is only your dog, exactly what they want.

A good rule?

Work in the manner in which you want your dog to work, it will follow its lead when you're gone. If you can leave them all riled-up, why you can expect they will calm down immediately minute walk out the door? On the other side of the coins don't make it into a big deal when you finally come back home either. If your dog expects rowdy play a minute walk through the doors session, they can get excited a little early if you are using. The Operator and. .. This is not a good thing.

If you are coming home to find chewed up shoes or couch torn to shreds ". .. at least partly Your fault. Cannot be expected to leave excited dog all yourself and ask them to calm down the minute walk out the door. Pretty simple, huh? Dogs are creatures of habit, and if the user is to strengthen the wrong habits your dog at an early stage, you're going to run on all types of trouble later attempts of the UNITED NATIONS do all unwanted

keep showing your dog. Trust me, it is much easier to live with your dog, where the plants right behaviour from the outset.

We're Dog and owner,

Charles van Veen

P.S. If you are simply not bare thoughts, giving your dog a simple good-bye before walking out the door, give them the big good-bye, but not at least 15 minutes before you actually want to leave. Saying good-bye early you're going to get the time "cuddle", but also you're going to be giving your dog a lot of time to settle down back before the walk out the door!

This idea has been around in the world of cat products for some time now, with many versions of a new safety release collar available that will come off if the collar snags on something. Its also evidently reached dog collar manufacturer's, because new safety release design collars are finally available. They feature plastic 'buckles' which 'snap open' if the collar gets caught or snagged on something. Look for the buzzwords 'snap open' in the marketing blurb.

Anti Choke Collars

Choke chains were such an everyday sight and everyday product for many years in pet stores. The next generation of products to replace them are anti choke harnesses. Manufacturers argue that traditional metal choke chains can sometimes cause health problems and dogs may cough, gag or, well, choke. Small dogs can also suffer collapsed trachea. The problem is felt to be pressure on the dog's neck and compression of the airways as the choke chain restrains the dog when it pulls forward. The pressure from traditional choke chains may also aggravate glaucoma. Anti choking newer designs look more like harnesses, and fit around the front legs and avoid the neck altogether. This is sounding like a boon for dogs, providing the design should not exert any pressure onto the chest or airways.

There are also new collars which put the pressure on the nose instead of the neck as the dog pulls. Similarly, companies claim they're better for the dog's health. Both anti choking harness designs and 'nose pressure' designs are generally advertised as more effective at controlling dogs that pull a lot than traditional choke chains.

Tracking collars

Losing a dog is distressing and there may nonetheless be laws where you live holding you responsible for its behaviour whilst 'away from home', depending on where you live. Tracking devices attach to or are incorporated in the dog's collar. The basic premise is the same across the differing technologies used - the devices send a signal from the dog's collar to a hand held device that homes in on the dog. The American Kennel Club works in collaboration with the Positioning Animals Worldwide Company who makes the Spotlight GPS Pet Locator. Other products use GPS or radio frequencies - with radio frequencies, the price tags tend to be lower but the range will be more limited. At the time of writing, radio frequency devices were selling online from $80 / 50 GBP with a range of 400 feet / 122 metres. The Spotlight device was around $200-$250 plus $8-15 monthly service fees, with similar or higher costs for other GPS tracking systems. Nothing, as they say, is perfect - if the device is attached to a snap open collar, it will enable you to locate the collar only if the collar has been discarded. This only serves to emphasize the importance of micro-chipping - should your dog be handed in to facilities with a reader, you will get a call so long as your entry on the micro-chip companies database is up to date. Readers are now in most shelters, some local authorise and most vets, depending on where you live.

Electric shock 'Anti Bark' collars

The ASPCA does not generally endorse their use and states the use of collars on puppies and young dogs can traumatise. Some Australian states have banned them by law. Training is obviously a more humane and less dangerous option. Online resources such as the Virtual Pet Behaviouralist from the ASPCA may help along with a good training expert - prolonged barking is a behavioural problem and can be safely overcome with kinder methods.

Dog Teeth Cleaning

Brush your dogs teeth 1 - 2 times weekly with a soft toothbrush to prevent caries and plaque build up. Many pet supply stores sell special rubber teeth brushes for dogs. Do not use human toothpaste. Do buy dog toothpaste - ask your vet to recommend, because dogs need specialised tooth paste to break down their dog-specific plaque. Use gentle circular motions.

'Dental' dog food products aim to clean the dog's teeth by using the mild abrasion action of dry foods rubbing against the teeth. Dental water additives also help plaque build up. You will still need to do the teeth brushing. There is a list of products approved by the USA's Vetinary Oral Health Council. Their 'Seal of Approval Scheme' is endorsed by the British Vetinary Dental Association and the European Vetinary Dental Association.

Pooper-scooper dispensers for your belt

These just clip onto your belt and mean you get at poop-scoop bags, without having to handle the doc lead in one hand whilst trying to scrabble around in your pockets. Good stress buster for you. The bags now come in 'antibacterial' with separate antibacterial wipes packs (like the ones you use on holiday) for you hands.

Visibility aids

There are fancy dress costumes for dogs, dog jumpers, dog coats... but a fluorescent dog coat or vest enhances safety. They act just like cyclists day-glo jackets, making your dog visible for traffic and people. Additionally, there are battery powered lights clip onto leads or you. Collars can be specially made to reflect light and some have battery powered lights built in, plus the new safety release designs.

Dog car harnesses

Like a seatbelt for the dog, the aim is to prevent the dog injuring itself or passengers in an accident. The dog also should have less opportunity to distract the driver by climbing around the car. Some types of anti choke harnesses double up as car harnesses.

Anti stress

Dogs suffer stress at times - firework season, moving home, trips to the vet... Homeopathic drops for oral administration & dog coats using body pressure points aim to calm anxious and frightened dogs.

You might also consider vetinary acupuncture. In the UK, there is The Association of British Vetinary Acupuncturists. In Germany, there is the German Veterinary Acupuncture Society e.V.. In the Netherlands, there is the Samenwerkende Nederlandse Vetinaire Acupuncturisten. For the rest of Europe, The International Veterinary Acupuncture Society may be able to help.

In the USA, there is the American Academy of Vetinary Acupuncture, or the American Holistic Vetinary Medical Association.

In Canada, there is the Association of Vetinary Acupuncturists of Canada.

Grooming products

There are far too many products to list individually - here's one not very glamorous idea which could be incredibly useful in hotter weather. 'Tick pickers' are plastic tools to remove ticks. Why? Because ticks bury their jaws into skin and then 'lock on', remaining in place to suck the animals blood. Never simply take hold of a tick and pull it out. Parts of the tics jaws and head can stay embedded in the skin, leading to nasty infections. The pickers aim to safely remove all of the tick, after which you clean the area with a dog friendly disinfectant. Tics shouldn't be left to 'drop off naturally '- they carry bacteria and can therefore cause infections. If you can't handle the gross factor, take your dog to the vet and have them do it while you look away. Your vet can also sell you tic repellent spray for prevention of infestation.

Nervous dogs-how to deal with nervous dog or Puppy

4) in situations where your dog shows fear towards strangers or visitors to the House try and explain the visitors that you prefer to simply ignore the dog completely, not even looking at the dog once or paying them the slightest bit. Very often the visitors feel the need to try and "comfort" the dog and this may lead to the dog feeling even more vulnerable.

After the dog has learned to not respond to all visitors, ask the occasional Guests "dog knowledge" to nonchalantly and without any ceremony, simply fix Treat by the dog and then walk off in another direction. It is important not to try and make a fuss dog or offer a Treat from the hand. Doing this regularly with the various guests will accustom the dog to the idea that all visitors are intruders to "den" and they are not intent on causing injury to the dog or its pack.

3) Free therapy and treatments can be very helpful to develop nerves. Diet also plays an important role. If the DOG is extremely nervous, listless, depressed or under the coat of arms of condition changes of food may be in order. Dieticians specialist and has a comprehensive veterinary surgeons, who may be able to significantly increase your physical and psychological welfare of the dog, thereby improving the confidence of a DOG and reduce nervousness. Try the Internet or yellow pages and look for holistic veterinarians and animal dietitians.

2) Keep in your mind all the time, how the language of the body affected dog shy or nervous system. They are very large creatures with the ability to sort all the dismay of noise (hoovers, washing machines, shouting at the TV). Imagine another creature, which was equivalent to the distance from the size of the DOG and you will need to knows how dog shy or nervous system can see you.

Now imagine that the creatures ' bearing down on you with eyes wide, booming voice and hands the size of the saucepans on their way to touch your face. Frightening isn't it? Well to DOG shy or nervous system may be how they see the world of people and language of the body may be misinterpreted by the dog.

The fact that you're so much bigger than him and the fact that the people at large generally tend to approach dog with upright, therefore bearing down on them, you can make the world a terrible place. Always try and narrow the difference in size with a nervy by getting down to the level. Avoid direct contact with the eyes all the time, do not wear sunglasses (PSA, look like a pair of eyes wide, staring, which will never go away), and remember, as the dog sees the world from different angles than you. Body language is important in helping nervous dogs overcome their fears.

1) Make use of other dogs. Dogs, as a rule, you will copy and emulate their canine counterparts. If you have a nervous DOG can be a great experience for his or her face friend carefully selected. Only one other dog to begin with. Let them play, Explore and nervous dog will very quickly start to absorb the confidence of their more explicit and imitated their playmate behavior around people. It may take some time, but regular "play sessions" with other dogs may be the ultimate technique for many dog food hang-ups about the life of nervousness.

Ensure a good playback is selected, this is funny, but not a boisterous and not aggressive tendencies. Not to try and help the dog into the nervous system by introducing them to playmate equally nervous, double issue. Meeting other dogs is the best hobby Done socially, where the process of "classification" can take place. Having regard to the nervous DOG somewhere where there are probably lots of other dogs may be problematic. An explanation of the problems to friends, family, colleagues and be fair concerning the need to find the dog well-mannered, sure to meet games from time to time.

Protecting Your Dog: Dog Door

Domestic animal, especially a DOG is very popular and the road to human beings. From the age old story we hear about their DOG. There is also a saying "the faithful as a dog". Further, the dog is very useful as the guardian of our House. During the night, security guards, you can go to sleep, but the dog will know instantly, the smallest sound from any intruder. So keep all these points of view, people prefer to have the dog as a pet in their home. As it serves a double purpose-a friend for a company in Your solitude and to guard as well as at home.

Although we would like to maintain a dog as a pet in our House is so many reasons that we feel sure. Due to urbanization, the size of the House is shrinking all the time. Instead of a lawn, we need to just some of the balconies in stories dwelling courtyard. We cannot keep our dog in our bed room or the kitchen and not even in the dining room. We can afford only balconies for our dog. However, storage in the balcony is also a problem. We cannot tie the dog all the time, as you will feel restless. If we leave it open will be roaming in all rooms. May be after opening the door, you can leave the main house and get strayed. So in this situation, how can we protect our dog, that you can remain safe and not feel neglected. Here the dog appropriate doors made of mesh, so that the dog can see the owner of all time and not feel neglected is very useful. After the award of the food we can keep the doors locked from the outside. We can take him on a walk in the morning and evening in which period he would do his natural urges.

Even if the House is large enough, we do not prefer that our dog should pens around everywhere and keep the room dirty. As a specific area is intended for our dog if we put it to the door. Dog doors are available on the market, but we also order, in accordance with our requirement. Using doors proper dog we can protect our psa and feel depressed.

Prohibition leading Dog

Ban on dog sledding:

In the wake of the recent horrendous Massacre of 100 dogs sled in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Vancouver humane society has called for the province of the prohibition of dog sledding in the region.

It is important to look at the effects of the ban on dog sledding would:

1. without a long-term strategy for hundreds and hundreds of homes, see sled dog; they will be euthanized.
2. Sled Dog tour operators, without money coming in, will be able to feed or care for a dog sled, leading to exactly the problem already in Vancouver and the sentencing of the large number of these dogs to death.
3. from the ASPCA Vancouver declare unfit for adoption those dogs what are the alternatives? Mass killing dogs even more?
4. Dog leading the operation of the owners would lose their jobs, no way to support themselves. This includes the mushers and tourist owners who have been responsible, and taking into account their dogs love and maintenance.

Unfortunately, it is easy to act rashly when our emotions get in the way of reason. At the humane society is calling for their ban on dog sledding is similar to the following argument:

Because the experienced half of Canadian women (51%) of at least one incident of physical or sexual violence from the age of 16, Canadian women and one to two are killed by current or former partner each week in Canada (Canadian women's Foundation), prohibition of stronger socialism women and men should be called for. To work with women, unless they are supervised at all times and outside work, men do not have contact with women should not men. In addition, each man is currently working with women one must be fired from their jobs and compensation does not receive or tools to start a new life.

This argument is as absurd as an argument to the prohibition of dog sledding. Here is a much better solution:

ASPCA humane society, or should carry out the inspection operations the dog sledding at least twice a year.
Must be kept records of all dogs. All dogs sold or transmitted must be student showing where they ended with the number of the contact. If a DOG needs to be put down, you should demonstrate student licensed vet.
Operations where dogs are abused or mistreated should be closed and dogs adopted. Owners should be prosecuted to the utmost the rights.

The Argument against this is that it will take money and time, or that each organization has a lot of this is here, where defenders of animal rights may help you:

Set up a Fund for the monitoring and inspection operations Zungaropsis. Give money to this Fund.
Setting up a database of people willing to support or accept the sled dogs to haul in Vancouver is not repeated (the man who butchered dogs in contact with the ASPCA several times for help and received it cannot help him.)
Make sure that this database is shared by the humane society, the ASPCA and other animal shelters so they are appropriate homes before the crisis occurs.
Any foster or adoptive family home, must first Watch informative video to understand implementation requirements and packaging needs of those dogs and understand that these dogs are still partly wild. They may be accepted, but must be by families and individuals who understand what they are getting into.

There are preventive measures, which may easily be established instead of trying to punish mushers, who love and care for their animals.

They have not been declared by the ASPCA or humane society is communicating what to provide mental health and well-being of the other dogs 200 on Adventures Outdoor in Whistler, British Columbia. Imagine these dogs could witness 100 their Pack is murdered in front of their eyes by someone who has cared for them for years without some sort the effects of trauma to be ve. This operation must be very closely watched. Dogs need to be checked in order to ensure their safety. The man who killed dogs must be prosecuted at the top right gives. The company has expanded operations to dog sledding at the 2008 Summer Olympics without a plan in place for dog post Olympics, creating failure unavoidable, they should be prosecuted for neglect of dogs and contributing to animal cruelty.

Dog sledding is popular among tourists, because it takes people Back to the very first fundamental human and dog relationship. Dogs become domesticated because they included a man for food and shelter. In return, these dogs are linked to and worked for the man. These dogs living outside the role of mutual benefit to humans and the dog love and caring, circumstances which provide the majority of the mushers. There is no way to difficult to disregard the bond between man and dog, or between a responsible caring mushers and their dogs. Prohibition should not be introduced to punish Innocent, increased regulation should be implemented in order to prevent future damage to these amazing dogs.

dagny McKinley for three years he worked for the Grizzle-T and Zungaropsis Works in Steamboat Springs, CO. Grizzle-T promotes healthy and loving treatment of sled dogs. McKinley is a published author and photographer, and her book, Wild Hearts: Dog sledding Rockies Explores life and celebrates the bond between Zungaropsis man/woman and the dog, which is similar to any other.

Small dogs are good with children?

Answer: no, but it depends.

It seems that most people cannot come to a consensus on this question. People who regularly put rescue dogs from adoptive families do not believe that children are good for dogs small. On the other hand, some people believe that some small dogs are good for children. Both points are valid. Let's discuss each of the views separately.

People who believe that little dogs are not suitable for children see it from the pet's perspective. These people believe that the child easily could harm Small Dog by acting as a toy and not a breathing and live pets. Smaller dogs may attack a child only as much as large dogs can. As regards the safety of the child, the injuries from the smaller dogs likely would be small compared to the possible injuries caused by larger dogs.

Some parents believe that their child is sufficiently mature and "dog friendly" enough to enjoy the company of small DOG. Most of the time, these parents are wrong. Breeders and adoption agencies will often refuse to families with children younger than seven or eight years of age or older. They do not think that it is in the best interests of the PET, which easily can be traumatized by living with young children.

People believe, Small dogs are safe for children because they are little. Many children do not realize their own power and strength as it continues to grow up. Simply are not aware of what a great effort on their part ... to incidental and unintentional kill dog small.

On the other hand, some people agree that certain breeds of dogs, few are safe for children. Such small breeds include: beagles, terriers and collies. These dogs usually retain great around children and do not constitute any kind of threat. However, you should avoid the biggest Small dogs and toy breeds such as Chihuahuas for purposes of domestic animals.

In order to maintain the child and the smaller dogs safe, you must monitor the child and the dog at all times. If not, you can watch them both, place the dog in a secure room or in the container away from the child. With proper training, behavioral and sufficiently exercise Small Dog can learn to adapt and cooperate with the family. In this connection, it is possible for the small DOG is good for children.

Note: parents must warn their children never to put their face on the front of the DOG. Dogs may get spooked and snap-ins that could cause serious injuries, medical as uppercase or lowercase of pet is. Small dogs are not usually good for children in the long term and they are not the smartest choice for the safety of both the DOG and the child. It is best to first test all the options and find out why a really small DOG as opposed to a big dog. You may not get a DOG at all ...?

Gulliver's Travels (2 Disc Set with Gulliver's Fun Pack)

Gulliver's Travels (2 Disc Set with Gulliver's Fun Pack)Gulliver's Travels is about as marginal as the trailers suggest; it's a tepidly entertaining, irreverent, and sometimes crass comedy starring Jack Black that takes some gigantic liberties with Jonathan Swift's classic story about the land of Lilliput and its tiny inhabitants. Mailroom loser Lemuel Gulliver (Jack Black) is stuck in a dead-end job and living a dead-end life until the promotion of a fellow employee spurs him to speak up and take action. While a trip to the Bermuda Triangle may not be the date with crush Darcy Silverman (Amanda Peet) that Gulliver had envisioned, the voyage promises to take his career in a new direction, and it eventually delivers him to a kingdom known as Lilliput, which is populated by miniature people. After initially being captured and locked away in a dungeon, Gulliver wins the hearts of the Lilliputian people by saving their princess (Emily Blunt) from being kidnapped and rescuing their king (Billy Connolly) from a fire in a most unorthodox and unsavory way, and he quickly finds himself in a position of gigantic influence. Problem is, Gulliver is completely unprepared and unqualified for his new leadership roles, both on the personal and professional levels, and his ineptitude puts himself and all of Lilliput in extreme danger. Grade-school humor abounds in this fairly mindless film, something Jack Black always excels at, but viewers will find that the chuckles and the message about the power of believing in oneself fade equally as fast as the credits roll. Fixing Freddie

Fixing FreddieFrom the Introduction:
We didn't need a dog. We had a perfectly nice dog named Shakespeare, a big, loveable, huggable shaggy black mutt from the pound. And a cat, a beautiful tabby named Isis. We were a family-me and the dog and the cat and Mikey, my youngest child and the only one left at home. His siblings were grown and gone. His father was just gone. When I finally scraped up the money to buy a little house, Mikey reminded me that it was time for the puppy.

"What puppy?" I didn't do puppies.
"'When we get a home of our own,' you said. You promised," insisted Mikey.
You promised-the two words in the English language most likely to bring a single mother to her knees.
We didn't need a dog. We certainly didn't need a beagle. And we most certainly didn't need Freddie.

There are bad dogs--and then there are bad beagles.

In this hilarious and heartwarming memoir, single mother Paula Munier takes on the world's worst beagle--and loses every time. She tries everything to fix Freddie--but nothing really works. As her youngest son grows up and prepares to leave her soon-to-be empty nest, Paula's worst fear is that after more than thirty years of raising kids, she'll be left all alone--with Freddie.

Jesse Stone: No Remorse

Jesse Stone: No RemorseNo Remorse, the sixth entry in the made-for-TV series of Jesse Stone mysteries featuring Robert B. Parker's small-town police chief, is another satisfying blend of detective thrills and character drama, anchored by coproducer-cowriter Tom Selleck's typically fine turn as Stone. Picking up shortly after the events of the previous Stone film, Thin Ice, the action finds Stone struggling with suspension from the force and his alcohol issues; intervention from old friend Commander Healy (Stephen McHattie) gets him back on his feet and on the trail of a serial killer preying on young men. Stone and his deputies (Kathy Baker and Kohl Sudduth) uncover a trail that leads them to Boston mob boss Gino Fish (William Sadler), whose secret past may uncover the guilty party. Meanwhile, Stone has to deal with a rash of convenience store robberies that have turned deadly, as well as his ex-wife and relationship issues with his new dog, Reggie. Though the tone is a bit darker than previous Stone features, and the resolution of the convenience store subplot somewhat rushed, the performances, led by Selleck and abetted by an all-pro supporting cast (which includes William Devane as Stone's shrink and Saul Rubinek as the hapless Hasty Hathaway), are engaging, and the direction by Robert Harmon top-notch. Sadly, No Remorse was the last Jesse Stone film to see production during Parker's lifetime, but under Selleck's stewardship, fans can rest assured that Jesse Stone will continue in good hands. The widescreen DVD offers no extras. --Paul Gaita

Dog breed of the week: Chinese Shar-Pei

Shar-Pei Dog Breed Photo

Wrinkly, puffy, Bristly and undeniably unique, is the Chinese Shar-Pei is one of the most unusual looking dog around. These dogs were bred for centuries by the Chinese to serve as guard dogs and hunters. Unfortunately, they were also bred for dog fighting. This explains the harsh Bristly coat and extra-thick skin, which were somewhat resistant bites and scratches. Unfortunately, fl-Pei because of the breed's history has a tendency to be aggressive around other animals and sometimes even people.

It is too bad that fl-Peis can have a pretty bad rap. These Bristly hair make many of us break out in an itchy rash and their independent and headstrong sometimes positions require plenty of human patience. They also have their fair share of health concerns. Shar-Pei can however make a wonderful companion for the right person. This is an intelligent dog that will form a bond with them he has confidence. Proper socialization is key with this race. So, before you make a judgment, learn more about the Chinese Shar-Pei, and meet a few in person. It can even be the dog for you. If you already have your own Shar-Pei, you need to tell people about this one type of breed by sharing your story.

Dog breed of the week: Chihuahua

Chihuahua dog breed photo

Chihuahua is one of the world's smallest dog breeds, but they make up for their size with some of the biggest personalities around. While the lovable and loyal, is also very active Chihuahuas and sassy dogs with large "hard dog" positions. One person I know told me that her Chihuahua even "sitting with attitude"-and it is true! These are wonderful dogs, but they are certainly not for everyone.

Chihuahua has gradually gained popularity in the years, especially since the famous Taco Bell mascot appeared on television everywhere. These little dogs often seen being toted around in the designer bags certain celebrities. Chihuahuas popularity has won even more traction this year thanks to films such as legally Blonde and Beverly Hills Chihuahua. Many see Chihuahua as quintessential purse dog, but this sweet dog breed is probably much more than just a trendy fashion accessories.

So, if you think you want a Chihuahua, do your research. These are amazing dogs, but they belong in the right home page. If you decide that this race is the right match for you, congratulations and have fun. Have you already Chihuahuas in your life? Tell us all about them!

AAA/Kurgo Survey reinforces the need for Pet car restrictions

dog in car

Most of us know firsthand that our dogs can distract us while we run. Most of us also recognize that several of these disturbances can be removed by restraining our dogs in the car, but many of us do not do this. In a newly released survey from AAA/Kurgo, 65% of dog owners surveyed admitted that they operate at least one potentially distracting activity while driving with their dog (in most cases the petting the dog). 83% of respondents recognised Furthermore, an unrestrained dog in a moving car can be dangerous, but only 16% said they currently use a pet restraint. Online survey was conducted by motoring and leisure travel organization, AAA and PET travel product company Kurgo. Those polled 1,000 dog owners can drive with their dog in previous 12 months.

I admit that I have been guilty of not using a restraint for my dog, especially when only short distances. The study gave people more reasons for not restraining their pets. Some wanted their dogs to be able to hang their heads out the window, others felt a restraint too much trouble. Many said they only took their dogs on short tours. The main reason people gave was, however, that they felt their pets was calm and did not need moderation. But the risks are not only about potential interference. The reality of it is shocking when you consider this statement from Jennifer Huebner-Davidson, AAA national, traffic safety programs manager: "a fierce 10-pound dog in a crash at just 30 mph would exercise roughly 300 pounds of pressure, while a fierce 80-pound dog in a crash at just 30 mph will carry approximately 2,400 pounds of pressure. Imagine the devastationthat can cause to your pets and anyone in its path. " Wow. When you think about the way think the extra time it takes to subdue the dog well worth. The full results of the study, check out AAA/Kurgo 2011 Pet Survey fact sheet (PDF).

Can you afford your dog?

yorkie dog dollar sign

Can you really know what it costs to care for a dog? Many of us budget unfortunately too low for our dog expenses. In reality, cost of ownership's dog many variables, which makes it even harder to predict costs. The size of your dog will drive up the cost of dog food and products. Your dog health is also an important factor when it comes to expenditure. Bottom line: owning a dog is expensive, and it seems prices always will.

Veterinary care is generally the most expensive part of dog ownership. If you want to make the situation worse, it seems that veterinary fees rising at a rapid speed. Many veterinarians are accused of being a money-hungry and ugly, but the fact is that veterinarians have under-valued their services in years, and many still not charging enough to make the costs of running a practice. But even if prices are justified, it does not mean we can afford to pay them. Times are tough. They have been in years, and it does not seem to get much better. Many people have unfortunately had to give up their dogs due to financial constraints. Before you become one of them, take a look at some ways you can save money on dog care. Financial problems are stressful and depressing enough as it is. For many of us would life without a dog be much worse.

Simple ways to cure Bad Breath hunds

Your dog Oral health is more important than you think!

Is your dog is suffering from "doggie breath"?

The type that makes you avoid putting your face too close to your dog's mouths for fear of being knocked over by the awful smell?

I have been lucky.  My dogs have relatively sweet-smelling breath most of the time, but I know that some dogs suffer terribly from the most offensive-smelling breath.

My parents have a beautiful golden cocker spaniel, named honey.  Honey is the absolute leading-more like a teddy bear than a dog.  She loves to snuggle on you and likes to have his face near yours.  But as sweet as honey, her breath was absolutely not!

In the years safe I honey had no idea why all pulled away from her Sentimental.  Not to put too fine a point on it.  Her breath was unbearable.

But we found the solution!

Not only that I have discovered that doggie breath also can be a symptom of a much more serious and insidious, health problem. Apparently, it is estimated that 80 percent of dogs (and 70 percent of cats) over three years suffering from periodontal disease-which is a serious deterioration of the gums and supporting bones of the teeth.

Left unchecked, can the resulting bacteria enter the bloodstream, eventually causing damage to vital organs such as kidneys, lungs, heart or liver or infection!  That is why this pet disease has been called the "Silent Killer of pets."And get this-correct pet oral health can extend the life of your pet by two to five years!I was blown away to learn from this, that I immediately need to figure out how I could help the honey.  She has actually been put on special vegetarian diet due to all kinds of internal and external skin problems, and there has been a question raised about her liver.  Honey is 11 years old, so she is certainly no spring chicken, and at this late stage, it may be too late to add five years of her life.  But we will be happy with an additional two years, or even a, or whatever can be achieved. As you know, I'm on a mission to research very best strategies and products that can actually improve our dog welfare, and I am particularly keen on is one that has proven to increase life span.Well, I have found the solution to your dog Doggie-breath, and that the terrible effects that bad breath bacteria may cause on your dog's health and life.It is called Oxyfresh for pets.  Oxyfresh offers simple, effective oral hygiene for your dog, starting with Pet oral hygiene solution. This is a tasteless, odourless solution which is easily added to your dog drinking water to promote healthy gums and eliminate bad breath odors, thus stopping the bacteria and periodontal disease in its tracks! This product is the absolute best-there is simply nothing like it (that I have been able to find, anyway).Don't delay-give your dog these extra years right now.  Because the sooner you start, the longer you add to your dog's life.Important: when you click the link below, then click on the link of Pet care.Pet oral hygiene solution will improve your dog's health and prolong your dog's life!  Click right here.Go check these wonderful products! The link to the phenomenal Pet oral hygiene solution is again-click here! -Click on the link Pet care, once you get there! And if you have not already completed the form to receive your free special report "How to improve your dog's health within 30 days-maybe even lengthen your dog's Life!" and weekly per tips and info by email: http://yourhealthydog.com/th14/Oral-Index.HHD.Oral1.index.htm

Motivate your dog

Positive reinforcement dog training systems

There is great confusion in relation to positive reinforcement dog training-how it works, whether it works properly as a stand alone system, and so on.   I recently came across a summary of the 4 critical elements of a positive reinforcement training system that really works:

1: a positive reinforcement dog training must deal with positive reinforcement only. And indicates it in its coverage.  One positive reinforcement dog training expert, insists that "many books will try to hide the fact that you've hit, drag, even throw the chains on your animals to get it to perform".   He was exaggerating a little here-I am aware of a training method, as the advocate general cast a small piece of the chain on the floor near the dog to the dog's immediate attention.  I was taught this method even when my dogs were puppies.  I was not terribly keen method, but it certainly does not involve animal cruelty.  He however has a point.

And Yes, those other dog training methods will work, but your dog might end up being a little cautious with you.  Positive reinforcement dog training, teach you on the other hand, how to solve behavior problems without even touching your dog.

2: Any positive reinforcement dog training system needs to have very specific instructions on how to deal with each behavior that may arise. It must cover at least the basics of how to get started, including the following behaviors, which you will want to encourage or discourage, as appropriate:

Seating
Stay
Lie down
Come
Crate training
Barking
Bites
Jump
Potty Training
Aggression
Fear (i.e. Vacuum Cleaners)
Cord control

3: it is also preferable to have a dog training method, which results in your dog will be trained to perform all of these behaviors with hand cues.  Hand cues you can take the training to the next level.

A well-trained dog must learn to master all the basic behaviors with Visual cues and hand sound signals. Your dog will not always be able to hear them, he can be in a noisy park or lose his hearing in old age, and will need to rely on your signals still obey, even when he doesn't hear you.

4: a positive reinforcement dog training manual should also cover more difficult behaviors, and not only focus on training your dog to a merely tolerable level.

Any training method should create confidence.  If your dog does not have confidence in you, or, God forbid, are afraid of you, to some extent, you get the best out of your dog.  It is this extra confidence that will take your relationship with your dog to the next level.  And you can use positive reinforcement dog training to achieve some pretty spectacular results.  And it can give you the benefit of a very deep bond with your dog.

Click here for information about a positive reinforcement dog training system which I strongly recommend to check out the method of positive reinforcement training.
